Unit depths, service voids and shelf loads

Base units are typically 560 mm deep plus door thickness. Wall unit heights follow ceiling lines and extractor positions. Service voids behind appliances need a consistent depth so flues and pipes do not push cabinets off the wall. Shelf pins and drawer runners are chosen for the expected load - cast-iron pans need a heavier spec than tableware.

• Wall unit bottom lines aligned with splashback and socket heights
• Appliance housings vented to manufacturer void sizes
• Adjustable feet left accessible after plinth removal
