Daylight
Evening lightThe same heather can read warm by a window and cooler under lamps. That is why carpet decisions usually leave the showroom with a handful of samples rather than a firm order on the day.
Lay samples next to skirting, existing flooring and any wood or paint you already have. Bring them back when you are ready to measure. We keep the books open on Cormar, Westex, Brintons and the rest until you decide.
Many showroom ranges can be cut and edged to your size. Useful over wood or LVT, or when you want a rug that matches a fitted carpet on the stairs.

Twist, loop, weave and fibre feel different underfoot. We shortlist constructions before you settle on a colour.

We measure rooms, stairs, door bars and waste so the quotation matches the house.
Underlay and finishing details are ordered with the carpet, then fitted by our team.

It depends on the room, the carpet construction and how much acoustic comfort you want. We specify underlay with the carpet rather than as an afterthought.
Many ranges can be cut and edged to your size. Useful over hard flooring, or when you want a rug that matches a fitted carpet elsewhere.
A denser twist or woven construction usually wears more evenly on stairs than a long, soft pile. Brands such as Axminster, Brintons, Cormar and Westex are often compared for this. For a stair runner rather than a full-width fit, see Roger Oates.
