Limestone, slate and porcelain stone-effect floors from the Crestwood showroom in Lymington. Compare honed and textured finishes, then discuss sealing, grout and underfloor heating before fitting.
Natural stone varies in porosity, slip rating and tonal movement. Porcelain stone-effects need less maintenance in rooms that see muddy boots. We discuss honed versus textured finishes and how joint width affects the grid.
Large stone tiles show any unevenness in the subfloor. We coordinate levelling, decoupling membranes where needed, and movement joints at bay boundaries. Grout colour is chosen to emphasise or soften the grid.
Bring cabinet samples and paint chips. We will help you judge how a stone reads in the room.
