Spills, heat and hard traffic. Waterproof surfaces and easy-clean finishes matter more than a deep timber grain.
Often suits: Usually LVT or stone-effect vinyl; sometimes sealed stone or porcelain.

Wood, LVT, laminate and stone to compare in person, then supply and fitting from our Lymington showroom.
Crestwood of Lymington supplies and fits hardwood, engineered wood, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), laminate, natural stone and underfloor heating from 150 Wellworthy Road, Ampress Park. Brands on the floor include Amtico, Karndean, Moduleo, Quick-Step and Ted Todd. LVT is the usual specification for kitchens, bathrooms, halls and other wet or high-traffic rooms. Engineered wood is the usual specification where you want a real timber wear layer in living rooms and bedrooms, provided moisture is controlled and the board is rated for any underfloor heating. We compare samples under showroom light, then plan plank direction, underlay, trims and doorway transitions before the fitting team attends. Carpet and rugs are handled in a separate department. See the room guides below, or the LVT versus engineered wood comparison if you are choosing between those two.

Crestwood has worked with a traditional wood mill for 25 years+. We design the floors together, and the mill manufactures them to the agreed specification. Finishes include timber that is aged and distressed, smoked and fumed, all hand-finished. Aged French oak is available, as are boards in mixed widths, lengths and thicknesses. Compare samples in Lymington, then we specify and fit.
Start with moisture, traffic and underfloor heating. That usually narrows the choice before you compare brand names.

Spills, heat and hard traffic. Waterproof surfaces and easy-clean finishes matter more than a deep timber grain.
Often suits: Usually LVT or stone-effect vinyl; sometimes sealed stone or porcelain.

Grain, colour and board width are easier to judge here. Engineered wood and laminate both work in these rooms.
Often suits: Usually engineered wood, solid wood or laminate.

Doorways, grit and stair nosings need planning. Choose a surface that wears evenly and transitions cleanly into other rooms.
Often suits: Usually LVT, engineered wood or a tougher laminate grade.

Timber is rarely the right answer. Look for waterproof LVT or tile/stone with the right slip rating and detailing at drains.
Often suits: Usually LVT or porcelain / stone from the tiles department.

Most customers start in the showroom, then move to measure, order and fitting. Supply-only is available if you already have an installer.
Bring room sizes, photos or a rough layout. We match boards and finishes under showroom light before anything is ordered.
Subfloor condition, underlay, underfloor heating and door clearances are checked so finished height and transitions are planned properly.
Boards, adhesives, trims and accessories are ordered to the confirmed specification.
We arrange delivery and, where required, install the floor, fit trims and leave the surface ready for use.
Soft floor coverings and ceramic or porcelain tiles sit in their own departments, with separate samples and fitting notes. Many homes mix hard flooring in some rooms with carpet or tile in others.
No. Approximate lengths and widths, or a simple floor plan photo, are enough to start. Exact measurements are taken when you are ready to order or book fitting.
Yes. We supply and fit wood, LVT, laminate and related hard floors. Fitting can be arranged with the order or discussed once you have chosen a range.
Many engineered woods and most LVT ranges are suitable when specified correctly. We check the manufacturer's guidance against your heating system before ordering.
Solid wood is a single piece of timber. Engineered wood has a real-wood wear layer over a stable core, which usually handles humidity and underfloor heating more reliably in modern homes.
Yes. Carpets and tiles have their own department pages and sample ranges in the showroom. Many projects combine hard flooring in some rooms with carpet or tile in others.
Lead times vary by supplier and finish. Once the range is confirmed we will give you a delivery window before fitting is booked.
