Dining spaces need clearance for chairs, light over the table and a floor that tolerates chair movement. Link to kitchen flooring and living areas when the layout is open-plan.
Allow space for chairs to pull out and pass behind. Pendant height should clear sightlines across the table. Hard flooring or a rug under the table both work - rugs need extra length beyond chair legs. Window treatments control glare at daytime meals.
When dining shares space with a kitchen or sofa, flooring transitions and lighting zones need planning. Book a design appointment for full-layout support.
