Cushions and throws for sofas and beds. We explain feather and fibre fills, removable covers and fabric wear ratings in the Lymington showroom.
Feather inserts mould to sofa backs but need regular plumping and may not suit allergies. Fibre fills hold shape with less upkeep. Down blends sit between the two. Covers slightly smaller than the insert look fuller.
Throws should cover knees when seated without dragging on the floor. Wool and acrylic blends pill differently. Machine-washable cotton throws suit family sofas. Dry-clean-only weaves belong on occasional chairs.
Bring sofa depth if you have it, and we will suggest cushion sizes that sit properly on the seat.
